In this episode, I wanted to show you how bad browsers are in securing your saved passwords. With a simple trick using browser Developer Tools, you can view any saved password without authenticating the user. I have tested this method on three popular browsers Chrome, Edge, and Firefox, and it worked on all of them. However, Firefox was the only one that had an option to set a Primary Password which, once set, prevented me from using this trick. Unfortunately, Firefox does not require you to set a Primary Password by default which I think is a serious problem for unaware users. I hope that after watching this video, you will stop using the browser as your Password Manager and select a dedicated Password Manager instead.
